Okay no cap, I'm fully obsessed with the Y2K aesthetic hitting different right now. Low-rise jeans, tiny bags, butterfly clips... the whole vibe just *slaps*. But then I remember we're living through... *gestures vaguely at the world* and it's like, lowkey, how did they look so effortlessly iconic while probably also dealing with existential dread? Or maybe it was just different dread? Nah fr tho. I feel like every generation has their 'aesthetic' they try to manifest to cope with the ~vibe~ of the times. Our parents probably had bell bottoms and Woodstock for *their* existential crises. It just feels so much more amplified now 'cause we're online 24/7. It's a lot. 🫠
